The young woman's large cerulean eyes fluttered open as she heard footsteps approach. Slowly shifting her weight so she could get a better view of the shadowed figure in the doorway. A muscled, tanned hand reached out to her and her eye's widened. It was Mark! He had really come to save her after all! Nora lifted a shaky, pale hand to grasp Mark's. Her fingertips touched his delicately as he pulled her up from the ground. Her saviour held the fragile woman to his body. Feeling her shiver in fright. Mark knew he had to get her out of there. Briskly walking out of the room he looked around the hallway. The once white walls were now stained with crimson red blood which belonged to former patients. If Nora wasn't out of here soon enough, she would end up like them. It was all the medication's fault. The woman's nails dug into his shirt as she clung to him for dear life.

"Babe it's going to be alright. I'm here for you. Always" he whispered into her ear. His warm breath making her feel more secure than she had ever been before she arrived here. In this damned place. Nora rested her full body weight against his. She was struggling to walk or even move. Once again a cause of the medication. A sigh of relief left the nervous woman's mouth as they both moved towards the exit. A fragile hand reached out to grab the handle. It shook as she drew closer. Only a few more inches and she would be free and safe. Forever.

A loud shriek erupted from Nora's lips as a set of nails dug deep into her shoulder. She toppled over from the impact, now realising that her protector had now abandoned her. Once again he had left her, leaving her to fend for herself. The fragile body hit the cold ground with a slight thud. With a lot of effort Nora turned over onto her back so she was able to see her attacker. Above her loomed the figure of Jacinta. Except she looked bizarre. She had a large, fat abdomen, her six legs and two arms were thing and wiry. Jacinta's face was now thinner than she remembered, although it was too thin. But one thing was evident, her trademark large Cheshire cat like grin still remained on her face.

"G-Get away from me!" the timid patient cried frantically. "L-Leave me alone!"
Jacinta's grin grew wider if that was even humanly possible as she took a few steps closer to Nora. A stupendous sized needle appeared in the spider like monster's hand.
"You can't run away forever Nora…" Jacinta hissed, leaning over Nora's body. The fragile woman's body was immobilised. She couldn't move because of the last medication she had taken. The large needle inched closer and Nora felt helpless. Unable to do a thing to stop this torture. Her body shook as the needle finally made contact with the skin, injecting its fluid into her body. A high pitched screech left the woman's dry lips. As the contents entered her skin her muscles began to spasm, an unbearable pain filled her body. The woman's body started to strain under the pressure. Above her Jacinta's mocking laughter echoed throughout the room.
"Good bye Nora…" the nurse's voice hissed at her tauntingly. Her tone was sickly sweet. Nora's eyes slowly shut as her entire body had shut down, her limbs weakened and useless on the floor. Her body had finally shut down and her head finally hit the cold floor in surrender.

Nora awoke from her nightmare in a cold sweat. Her eyes were wide with fear as she sat up from the floor carefully. The woman's breathing was labored, her fragile body was shaking in terror. Once again the familiar throbbing started in her head again. Her hand moved towards her head, her dry lips elicited a groan of pain. Why did this keep happening? Was it really her medication that was causing this or was she truly just paranoid? Outside of her door voices could be heard. Shifting her weight carefully to not cause any more strain on her body she shuffled closer to the door to listen in. One voice was a familiar voice, most likely a female's while the other she didn't recognise.
"How is Nora doing on her medication Jacinta?" the male voice asked his tone casual. A slight chuckle was heard that was muffled by Jacinta before she spoke.
"The medication is doing alright Dr Hamill. Although she's been having strange side effects. It seems to be causing her headaches and it's hard for her to move. But that was with the first dose… I had to drug her yesterday with the second dose you gave me. Hopefully this will be the right one…"
The fragile mental patient's cerulean blue eyes widened suddenly as she listened to Jacinta talking to the doctor. She was right! She truly wasn't going crazy. They were all against her. It was all a plot. But for what? What did Jacinta mean by the right one?

She was shaken from her thoughts as a slow creak of the door was heard as Jacinta popped her head in perkily.
"How are you this morning sunshine?" she questioned cheerfully. Nora faked a
smile; once again Jacinta fell for it. Through gritted teeth, Nora replied with
difficulty.
"I'm perfectly fine, Jacinta. Thank-you for asking.'" She tried not to lower her guard
for a second for she was on her own now, not able to trust anybody but herself. It
was her only way to escape from this hellhole."

Slowly the day dragged on, after breakfast Nora tried to catch some sleep but was afraid her nightmares would come back to haunt her. Would she really be trapped here for the rest of her life? Then again she was still questioning her own sanity. But she swore to God that they were all out to get her. They were going to kill her through all this "medication" which was slowly weakening her body. Familiar footsteps could be heard coming towards the room and Nora braced herself again, clenching her teeth against the pain. Jacinta bounced through the door, reminding the insane woman to stay on her guard.
"You have another visitor today Nora. Mark has come to visit again. He's brought a visitor again too!" Carefully, the woman lifted herself up from the floor, even thought her entire body ached and throbbed she had to see Mark again. Maybe this time he would listen to her. Maybe this time he would be her saviour unlike her dream where he had abandoned her for the second time in her life.

The nurses' hands wrapped around her cold ones as she led her down the all familiar hallway. The couple walked down it in pure silence. Jacinta seemed unusually quieter than usual. Oh that wasn't a good sign. Nora's large eyes scanned the hallway frantically. Her hands struggling in Jacinta's grip. Flashbacks entered her mind continuously as they walked down that hallway. Crimson blood of patients was stained onto the pure white walls. Jacinta the spider like creature looming over her to inject her with the needle. The same needle that contained the liquid that had ended up sentencing her to death. It took all of her self control that she still possibly had to lose it, right there in that hallway. Jacinta once again waited outside the same door and Nora stepped through it carefully. Anger and hatred had suddenly filled her as the woman stepped foot into the room. Her eyes instantly noticed the blonde woman sitting next to him. The sweet smile across the blonde's face told Nora everything she needed to know. Mark had obviously found a replacement while she was locked away. Most likely for an extremely long time. The woman took a seat across from Mark and his new 'floozy'. Her pale hands rested on her legs, fists clenched to try and maintain all her self control. Nora knew she was so close to snapping. At both of them.
"Hey Nora, I told you I'd visit." Mark said cheerfully, a heart warming smile covered his face. The woman continued to stay silent. Staring both of them down with a simple death glare. The blonde shifted in her seat uncomfortably. Nora held back a triumphant grin. She was already making her nervous.
"This is my new... wife. Her name is Sarah." Nora's eyes shifted to 'Sarah' and looked her up and down disapprovingly. Of course he had married her. She was in absolutely every way perfect. Well compared to Nora at least. At least she wasn't 'crazy'.

"Hello Nora! I've heard so much about you from Mark. It's nice to meet you" Sarah held out a hand from Nora to shake but she refused it. Continuing to stare the woman down instead. It was fun to watch her squirm. When the woman recoiled her hand and rested it on her lap Nora finally spoke.
"You didn't save me…" she snarled, eyes snapping towards Mark.
"Excuse me?"
"In my dream. You didn't save me. I told you this place was evil!"
"Nora I don't get it…" Mark hissed back in frustration, by the look on his face he realised visiting his ex was a bad idea.
"Mark. They're trying to kill me. All of us in fact. By using… medication. It's all a lie!" Nora retorted harshly. Standing up from her chair and slamming her hands hard down on the table top to emphasise her point. Sarah flinched and slowly backed away in her chair.
"Mark… maybe we should go now… I don't feel very… safe…" Sarah whispered to Mark and Nora's eyes instantly moved towards Sarah. Her fists clenched so tightly on the table
"What's wrong Sarah? Can't you stand being around me? After all you are a perfect replacement for me." Nora snarled, leaning over the table more. Her face a few inches from Sarah's. The blonde was trembling by now.
"M-Mark… please…" Sarah hissed uncomfortably to her husband, grabbing his hand under the table and squeezing it hard.

Nora's orbs narrowed instantly as she noticed Sarah grip Mark for support. Mark let out a small sigh. He was already regretting bringing his new wife to visit his ex.
"Don't touch my husband…" Nora threatened through clenched teeth. By now it was becoming an arduous task to maintain her self control. All she really wanted to do was rip the blonde's eyes out. Her knuckles were turning white, nails digging into the bare palms of her hands. Ignoring the small tinge of pain she waited for the grip on Mark to release. A cruel smile curved on Sarah's lips as her other hand reached towards mark's face. Running a single finger down his jaw line. The over courageous blonde turned her husbands face towards her own. Their lips met quickly and entwined in a slow kiss. Nora could feel the pure hatred and anger building up in her stomach. The kiss finally finished and Sarah turned back to face Nora. Her expression was smug. But she wouldn't let her win.
"He's not your husband sweety. He's mine now."
Those eight words made the mental patient snap instantly. Before Sarah could react Nora had scrambled over the cold table and tackled Sarah. Her chair hit the ground with a small thud and now they were wrestling on the ground. Getting a mighty grip on Sarah's blonde locks she continued to slam the woman's head into the ground in pure hatred. Her body was crushing Sarah's small body which was struggling underneath her own to get the lunatic off of her.
"You bitch! How could you do such a thing? He's mine! Got it he's mine!" she screeched hysterically. Her cerulean blue eyes wide with excitement about the whole situation.
"I'm going to rip your pretty little eyes right out of their sockets so you will never set eyes on him ever again!" Nora threatened, placing pressure on Sarah's head as she forced it to the floor with her hand. Her right hand snaked forward, making its way towards the woman's face. Sarah writhed underneath her weight. Screaming and almost and tears. The hysterical woman's fingers were so close to her eyes but she was stopped as Mark had grabbed her from behind. Lifting her off his wife.

"Nora! Stop! Now!" Mark hissed into her ear in frustration. His grip was strong as he wrapped his arms up from under her armpits. Securing her tightly.
"Let me go Mark! I want to rip her pretty little eyes out!"
Sarah sat up from the floor carefully. Her hands dusted over her body and she looked over to Nora frightened. Mark's grip tightened on the patient in his arms as she continued to struggle and scream various threats about ripping Sarah to pieces. A smile of satisfaction crossed Sarah's face as she watched Nora writhe in Mark's grip.
"Jacinta, we need your help!" the blonde cried out in desperation, watching now as her expression had ignited the anger once again in Nora who was slowly moving from his grip. The perky nurse ran in, her eyes wide as she processed the situation. Nora continued to scream hysterically in Mark's arms. She hadn't realised the nurse was now in the room. The blonde took a few steps back from where she was standing, seeking protection in the corner. Sneaking up behind Nora and taking careful footsteps. The hysterical woman was too caught up in screaming threats at Mark's 'floozy' she was oblivious to the whole situation. Without warning Nora felt the throbbing sensation again through her head. Mark's grip released from her and her fragile body slunk onto the floor. Slowly, she lost function of her limbs and was just left to lay there. Heavy eyelids soon closing under the pressure. The last thing she saw before slipping unconscious was Sarah and Mark walking out of the room. His arm wrapped around her slim waist. Her turned back to face Nora, his look was one of disgust.
"I am never visiting you again Nora." He snarled angrily. Nora let out a whimper, to try and protest to them. To stop them from leaving but it was to no avail and soon enough everything went black.
This is Chapter III of Insanity (Obviously) I hope you all like it. What is your opinion on Nora now guys? I hope this lives up to my usual standards and I'm always trying to improve myself.. Slowly. I feel disappointed with how this one actually turned out. The start went great for me and I guess I was too tired to be bothered to put the rest of the effort in as the story went on.
Sorry for the disappointment guys. Enjoy. Feedback is appreciated.
Thanks also to :icon1-deidara-1: Who did regular checks of this story when needed. (Thank you WrinkleCat :3)
